Out of sight, out of mind?
Especially now as the Lord, working in mysterious ways, is sending another huge hurricane towards Louisiana at the same time as the NaziCon, aka the Republican National Convention is supposed to kick off in Minnesota, Bush and Darth Cheney have wisely chosen to not appear at the convention.
I believe it was Hurricane Katrina that finally knocked some of the rose tinting off of the glasses that America was wearing. Perhaps the only upside of that tragedy. I don’t think that the president and his sock puppet GW want the people remembering their cavalier and apathetic response to the worst disaster to hit the United States.
I am sure that the McCain camp isn’t shedding too many tears at the Dynamic Duo of Destruction not making an appearance at his shindig. It might remind people that he is a… Republican. When American needed our government it was AWOL. Here Faux Fox News cynically discussing how the GOP can exploit Hurricane Gustav to minimize the impact of…GW Bush.
I wonder if the GOP’s Wing Nut Christard mouthpiece will make more obnoxious comments about how this hurricane is “God’s work” and how we deserve it because we allow abortion?
And this Wing Nut Bloviator, Neil Boortz and his sick audience, will they have another segment like the following?
Or will this Hillbilly Heroin addled voice of the Republican conscience make more “observations” like this after Gustav strikes? Prefaced with a great rendition of Summer Time and a recap of Katrina’s devastation this father of the “Ditto Heads” completely misrepresents the comparisons between the flooding in Iowa to the situation in New Orleans and shows the racist and mean spirited true nature of the Republican Party.
So yeah, maybe it is a good thing that Bush and Cheney stay out of sight and out of mind, as they did during Katrina’s aftermath, and leave the fear mongering and hatefest to McCain and his “Soul Mate” Sarah Palin. Of course, he had only met her once before he picked her, she is his…gag…”soul mate.”
The motto of this NaziCon is “Country First” sure to inspire that good old Nationalistic Fascist Pride. Of course, it is only the country that is white, christian, straight, wealthy and, despite the Barbie Doll VP pick, male. So let Bush and Cheney, architects of the darkest period of the United States since the Civil War stay in the shadows. Their tool will hammer away at their talking points without him just fine and push the agenda of the corporate interests with glee while trying to do aa good of a job at scaring the hell out of all as they have done.
